The location of the Zalakaros hillside is only favorable for the viticulture. It is no coincidence that viticulture has a centuries-old tradition in the settlement. To make viticulture so important in the settlement, a special wine from Karos, the Tónai, also contributed. This local specialty is preserved from the Middle Ages and is produced exclusively in the locality and its surroundings.
The vineyard and the patron saint of winegrowers are St. Orban, whose wooden statue welcomes tourists on the mountain. On the vineyard there is a row of beautiful old cellars, some of which have a wine bar.
